I unexpectedly went to Malta yesterday to check out my friends' band The Imagery at Poxx Bar, Paceville, who were followed by a classic rock cover band, Overdrive. Both were talented and lively in their own ways, not really comparable though due to their different styles. I spent the gig downing Brain Damages and Jack Cokes with Alan, singing to their songs. Then the heavily tipsy Alan insisted on playing Anarchy in the UK with Overdrive's gear and I had to snap him out of it. I met up with some of Metrokueen's guys to whom I promised I'd see at their next gig. Sorry guys, another time for sure though.
We went to a couple of bars after that and I saw Alan with a bottle of wine in his hand. Needless to say, Alan and Neil eventually ended up throwing up in the streets of Paceville. An all too common sight. We found them a taxi at like 3am, then we went to some place (Havana?) and I got bored as hell and almost fell asleep standing up. We got to the flat 2 hours later (TWO HOURS) and I'm telling you, I never found my cheap single bed so inviting.
All this travelling to and from Gozo really upsets my stomach. I've had an uneasy stomach for like 3 days now. Surprisingly, I haven't thrown up once. Alcohol really doesn't help either. 6 Jack Cokes, 4 Brain Damages and 2 beers last night. Damn the thought of it makes me feel sick.
